Netflix starts developing films based on Rick Riordan’s ‘Kane Chronicles’ series
Riordan also revealed that the deal had been in the works ever since October.
Almost any reader is familiar with Rick Riordan and his iconic Percy Jackson series. The series even hit the big screen in 2010. However, this time it's his "Kane Chronicles " series that's getting a film adaptation.
The announcement of the films came from the author himself, Rick Riordan wrote on his social media accounts, "Hey everybody, want some more exciting news? We're developing 'The Kane Chronicles' as feature films for Netflix,"
Riordan also revealed that the deal had been in the works ever since October. And that he's excited to see how the project will unfold.
However, unlike Percy Jackson's story that deals with mostly Greek mythology, the Kane Chronicles series deals with Egyptian Mythology.
Rick Riordan will be keeping his fans updated about the development of the series, he added in his social media posts, "More news soon."
In the Kane Chronicles protagonists Carter and Sadie Kane run into legendary gods in the modern world, and they cross over with the "Percy Jackson" crew in a series of spinoff novels.
