An unknown attacker stabbed Rick & Morty's voice actress Spencer Grammer in front of a restaurant
Spencer Grammer who is best known for giving voice to 'Summer' in Rick and Morty got stabbed by unknown attacker in front of an NYC restaurant.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred in front of The Black Ant around midnight. The restaurant was preparing to close for the day when a man who appeared to be drunk approached the restaurant.
When the staff refused to let him in, he took out his blade and went into a tirade, attempting to stab property and patrons. Grammer and her friends stepped in to try to contain the attacker but were slashed in the process.
The attacker managed to escape the crime scene and has not been caught yet.
The police uploaded a 12-second surveillance video of the attacker talking to The Black Ant staff before the assault and asked anyone who may have seen the man to come forward for a reward.
The actress is currently recovering right now and her health update was confirmed by Kelsey Grammer, an actor well known for his performance in Fraiser and Cheers.
In an interview with Us weekly, Kelsey said, ""My friend and I did what anyone else would do in the same situation."
"I sustained a laceration on my arm, and my friend was stabbed in the back, but thankfully he suffered no serious internal injuries. We expect to recover quickly," She added and seemed certain of a quick recovery.
She went onto thank the hospital staff as well, for the extensive care she and her friend received.
