The players attending the conditioning camp split into two teams and played a practise match between them. The 'Bangladesh Red' team was led by Nazmul Hossain Shanto and the other players were - Naim Sheikh, Imrul Kayes, Mohammad Mithun, Sabbir Rahman, Yasir Ali, Mehidy Hasan, Taijul Islam, Al-Amin Hossain, Ebadat Hossain and Rishad Hossain with Arafat Sunny as substitute.
The 'Bangladesh Green' team was led by Liton Das and the players were - Mahmudullah, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Afif Hossain, Mossadek Hossain, Aminul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Abu Hider Rony with Nayeem Hasan as substitute. But Shakib was missing from the action and Nayeem played instead.
Batting first, 'Bangladesh Green' lost their captain Nazmul to Rony early but Naim Sheikh and Imrul Kayes put up a good stand to stabilize their innings. But Imrul Kayes' dismissal started a collapse in the batting of the red team who lost three more wickets in a flurry as Naim, Sabbir and Mithun all went back to the hut. Mehidy went back in the 16th over to reduce the red team to 90 for 6. Yasir played a good knock but was run out after miscommunicating with his partner Rishad when the team score was 119. The Red team than lost two more wickets as they finished on 143.
Imrul scored 32 whereas Yasir Ali top scored with 32. Aminul Islam was impressive with the figure of 3-17 whereas Mustafizur disappointed with his bowling.
In reply, the Green team lost Soumya in their very first delivery as the left handed opener was run out after a miscommunication with his partner Liton Das. Afif and Mushfiq also returned soon and Mushfiq gave birth to a controversy after getting out.
Mushfiq was caught trying to play a reverse sweep. Returning to the pavilion, he climbed up to the gallery to a spectator named Imran who said something to him. He then talked fiercely to the viewer before returning to the field and the spectator was escorted out of the ground.
Green team continued to lose wickets in a flurry as they were soon reduced to 62-8. Liton Das stayed in the crease for a while, but got run out trying an impossible double.
Nayeem and Shafiul put up a brief stand of 31 runs, but both of them got out consecutively as the Green team bundled out for a mere 93.
