Barcelona sign Braithwaite as emergency signing
Braithwaite has signed a contract till June 30, 2024, and his release clause has been set at 300 million Euros.
FC Barcelona have signed 28-year old Danish striker Martin Braithwaite as their emergency signing after Ousmane Dembele was ruled out for the season.
The Blaugranas have paid Braithwaite's 18 million Euros buyout clause to Leganes. Braithwaite has signed a contract till June 30, 2024, and his release clause has been set at 300 million Euros.
Braithwaite joined Leganes on loan in 2018 before permanently joining the Spanish side in 2019. He scored a total of 13 goals for Leganes in 41 appearances. Braithwaite started his career at Esbjerg fB before playing for Toulouse, Middlesborough and Bordeaux.
Braithwaite has featured 39 times for the Denmark national side and scored 7 goals. He also featured for Denmark in the 2018 Fifa World Cup where the Danish side reached the second round.
