Team BJMC have been relegated from the 13-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football with one match to spare, after conceding 0-2 goals defeat to lowly Brothers Union FC at the floodlit Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Tuesday.
With the day’s well-merited win, Brothers Union brightened their chance to avoid relegation and advanced to the 10th slot from 11th securing 21 points from 23 matches while Team BJMC remained at the bottom-place with 11 points from 23 encounters.
In the day’s match, South African striker James Joseph Saeed Moga netted two goals for Brothers Union in the 52nd minute and 89th minute respectively.
Team BJMC, who relegated to the lower division Bangladesh Championship League (BCL), will now take on third-ranked Sheikh Russel KC in their last league match on Friday (August 2) at Sylhet District Stadium.
On the other hand, Brothers Union will play fifth-ranked Arambagh KS in their last league match on the same day (August 2) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here.
