I don't know how these internal things get leaked: Shakib
Shakib was shocked and annoyed at the same time knowing the internal news had leaked even before he talking to the team management about it.
Shakib Al Hasan had a pretty dull return to cricket after serving a year-long ban in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Questions and doubts did arise, but Shakib was calm. He knew he would give his best in the international cricket, and he actually delivered. The southpaw was adjudged man of the series in the recently concluded ODI series against Windies.
But there have been speculations that he will skip the upcoming New Zealand tour to be with his wife who's expecting their third child around that time. Shakib was shocked and annoyed at the same time knowing the internal news had leaked even before he talking to the team management about it.
"I actually do not know how these internal things get leaked outside," said Shakib.
Shakib mentioned he is yet to talk with the team management about it and then make a decision whether he will participate in the tour or not.
"We will make a decision about this after the Test series. This will be cleared when team management and I have a meeting [after the Test series]," said Shakib.
Shakib scored 113 runs at an average of 56.50 and took six wickets in the three-match ODI series against the Windies.
Bangladesh will play a two-match Test series against the Windies with the first Test beginning from February 3 and the second Test from February 11. After the two-Test series against the Windies, Tigers are scheduled to depart for New Zealand in late February to play three ODIs and three T20Is.
