Prior to the match, ex-skipper Mashrafe wished the team through a Facebook post on his official page.
Bangladesh cricket team are returning to international cricket after a long hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic. It was Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's final match as skipper back in March last year. Tomorrow, Bangladesh will be playing under a new skipper, Tamim Iqbal Khan. Prior to the match, ex-skipper Mashrafe wished the team through a Facebook post on his official page.
"The long wait of Bangladesh cricket fans is finally over as their favorite cricket team returning to the field tomorrow. All my good wishes for the whole team," Mashrafe wrote.
But he wished especially for Tamim Iqbal who will be replacing Mashrafe as Tigers' skipper from this series. "Special love and wishes for Tamim Iqbal Khan," Mashrafe added. He wished that the new skipper will overcome all the pressure and come out as victorious as always.
He concluded his post reminding that there will be only one sound echoing - Bangladesh.
Mashrafe stepped down as captain in March last year and has been dropped from the squad against Windies.
