Palestine face Sri Lanka in Bangabandhu Gold Cup tie on Friday

Tournament favourite Palestine will face Sri Lanka in their second and last group A match of the sixth edition of Bangabandhu International Football tournament scheduled to be held tomorrow (Friday) at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The match is set to kick off at 5 pm.
The defending champions Palestine will take to the field with an upper hand following their 2-0 goals victory over host Bangladesh in their tournament-opening match held on Wednesday last and they must be looking forward to sealing the semifinal by winning the match against Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, it would be a tough challenge for Islanders as they must have to play something extraordinary to beat strong Palestine. Sri Lanka will play their next match against Bangladesh on Sunday (January 19).
Sri Lankan football team's manager Colonel Pathmanathan earlier termed his team as a balanced one and hoping to give a good fight in the tournament.
He said though the present team lost to Nepal U-23 team last month now the boys are more organized and upbeat to give their best effort in the tournament.
