International cricket has been on hold for three and a half months due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier, four bilateral series involving Bangladesh got postponed. Now their scheduled tour of Sri Lanka has also been called off.
International Cricket Council (ICC), on its official Facebook page, announced the fate of the series. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) are yet to give statements though.
Bangladesh were supposed to play three Tests against Sri Lanka as part of the ICC Test Championship in July.
Earlier, Bangladesh decided not to tour Pakistan and Ireland for Coronavirus concerns. Bangladesh tour of Australia and New Zealand have also been called off.
