Tamim out for 158 as Bangladesh cross 300
Tamim blasted 158 off 136 balls, which included 20 boundaries and 3 sixes.
Bangladesh lost two wickets inside the first 11 overs in their second ODI against Zimbabwe at Sylhet.
Both the batsmen, Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain Shanto was run out.
Liton scored 9 and Shanto was out for 6.
Tamim Iqbal, meanwhile, racked up his 48th ODI fifty at the other end.
Mushfiqur Rahim scored a rapid 55 off 50 balls, as the two experienced batsmen put on an 87-run partnership for the third wicket.
Mushfiq got out but Tamim kept going and in the process completed 7,000 ODI runs when he reached 84. He is the first Bangladeshi batsman to reach the milestone.
Also, the star opener reached his 12th ODI hundred in 106 deliveries. His innings had 14 boundaries, and no over boundaries.
Tamim started playing aggressively after reaching three figures. He registered the highest ODI individual innings before getting out.
