The Mominul Haque-led Ryan Cook XI defeated the Ottis Gibson XI by six wickets in the second two-day practice match at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

The pair added 107 at a brisk pace before Tamim was dismissed for a 80-ball 64. His innings was studded with 10 boundaries. Shadman carried on and batted for two and a half hours for a well-made 83. Skipper Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim got out cheaply but Mohammad Mithun and Yasir Ali ensured that no further damage was done. The Ryan Cook XI chased down the target losing only four wickets with eight balls to spare.
It was hard work for the bowlers of the Ottis Gibson XI. Nayeem Hasan picked up a couple of wickets while Rubel Hossain and Mosaddek Hossain shared two among themselves.
At the end of the first day's play, Ottis Gibson XI scored 248 for eight. Imrul Kayes scored a fantastic 93-ball 59 and Mahmudullah also chipped in with an innings of 56. Taskin Ahmed was particularly impressive with three wickets to his name.
Abu Jayed Rahi, who is still under observation, did not play the match. Shafiul Islam missed out due to a slight injury problem while Mehidy Hasan Miraz opted out to stay beside his expectant wife.
This is the second two-day practice match involving the cricketers who have been called up to the skill camp. The cricketers have been given a three-day break after the match. The cricketers residing in Dhaka have returned to respective residences while the ones who are from outside the capital are staying at the academy building. They will once again be taken under the bio-secure bubble after undergoing a Covid-19 screening on October 10.
