Tofazzal Hossain clinches silver in 2nd Int’l Archery Tournament

Bangladesh Army Archery team also clinched Silver in the Mixed Team event at the same venue on the day.

Tofazzal Hossain of Bangladesh Army clinched silver in the Recurve Men’s Singles of 2nd International Archery Tournament in Kyrgyzstan on Friday.

He was defeated by Kursanaliev Ulukbek of Kyrgyzstan by 6-2 set points in the final. 

Bangladesh Army Archery team also clinched Silver in the Mixed Team event at the same venue on the day.

The team of Tofazzal and Nasrin Aktar were defeated by Kursanaliev Ulukbek and Asel Sharbekova of hosts Kyrgyzstan in the final.

In Recurve Men’s team event, Bangladesh Army team comprises Tofazzal Hossain, Mohammad Redwan and Abdullah Al Mamun clinched Bronze medal beating Kyrgyzstan in the third-place decider.

The team will return home on Saturday.
