U-19 cricketers brought under BCB's Covid-19 app
Initially, BCB monitored the health of 40 cricketers through this application. Afterwards, the board brought the Bangladesh national women's team, high-performance team, World Cup winning under-19 team and the BCB officials under the app. Now it has included the 45 cricketers who have been called up to the under-19 preliminary team.
Despite competitive cricket being on hold due to Covid-19 pandemic, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is concerned about the health of the cricketers. For this, the board came up with a mobile application called 'Covid-19 Wellbeing App'.
As a result, a total of 250 people are now being monitored through this application. Nasiruddin Ahmed Nasu, the chairman of BCB's Management Information System (MIS), spoke to The Business Standard about this.
"The names of under-19 cricketers are being included in the database. When they join the camp, they will be brought under supervision," Nasu said.
He added, "We need some more information about them. A total of 250 cricketers and staff of BCB are being monitored now. Their health and wellbeing have been monitored through this app."
