6-year-old child raped in Pabna
A six-year-old child was allegedly raped by her co-villager in Pabna Sadar upazila's Maligacha union.
Mohaiminul Islam, sub-inspector of Pabna Sadar police station said, "On Thursday evening the child was playing near her house. This is when the accused Abdur Rahman, of the same village, took her to a nearby community clinic by force and raped her."
The victim's father filed a case with the police station on Thursday night. After that the law enforcers conducted raids at different places. On early Friday, they could arrest the accused who is a van driver.

"The accused will be produced before a Pabna court on Friday. However, due to the ongoing corona crisis and general holidays, the girl will undergo a medical examination on Saturday," said Mohaiminul Islam.
