8 arrested over attacks, vandalism of factories in Ashulia
The joint forces have arrested eight people on charges of attacking, vandalising, blocking roads and setting fire to various garment factories in Ashulia by instigating the protesting workers.
They were arrested yesterday (23 September) by conducting raids in different areas of Ashulia at different times of the day, confirmed Ashulia police through a press release today (24 September).
The arrested will be sent to court today, said Ashulia Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Kamal Hossain.

The arrested are Dewan Abdul Hai, 52, of Subondhi area of Ashulia; Roni, 27, of Patalpara area of Tangail; Md Zahidul Islam, 24, of Paschimpara area of Ashulia, Shahapran, 33, from Barura police station in Cumilla; Rabbi Mia, 25, from Nobogram area under Nagarpur police station of Tangail; Shukkur Ali, 40, of Ashulia's southern Ghazirchat area; Mizanur Rahman, 38, of Shibganj Thana area of Chapai Nawabganj district and Jahidul, 38, from the same area.
