Inu placed on five-day remand in truck driver Sujon murder case

A Dhaka court today placed former information minister Hasanul Haque Inu on five-day remand in a case filed over the killing of a truck driver Sujon during the recent student protests.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman passed the order as police produced Inu before the court, pleaded to arrest him in the case and place him on 10-day remand.
Earlier, a team of DB police arrested Inu, also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), from a house in Uttara on 26 August.
He was placed on seven-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of businessman Abdul Wadud in the city's New Market area.
