4 Rohingyas killed in clash at Kutupalong Camp
At least four Rohingyas were killed and few more injured in series of clashes over establishing supremacy at Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Cox's Bazar from Tuesday evening.
The identity of the deceased Rohingya refugees could not be known immediately.
Confirming the matter, Additional Police Superintendent (Administration) Rafiqul Islam said, "Over past few days, two groups of Rohingyas have been clashing over domination in Kutupalong Lambasia Rohingya camp in Ukhia."
"Today, three were found dead with bullet injuries and one was found slaughtered. The bodies have been recovered," he added.
Rafiqul also said that additional police have been deployed inside the camp to keep the law and order under control.
"One Ansar member was injured when went there to control the situation. Currently the clash has stopped and the situation has returned to normal," the senior police official said further.
Earlier, three Rohingyas were killed in separate clashes on October 4 and 5.
Besides, nine Rohingya robbers were detained along with weapons and ammunition in a RAB operation on Tuesday morning.
