Former Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan was arrested on Monday (16 September) evening.
He was taken into police custody from the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Shyamoli, Assistant Commissioner of Police Masudur Rahman of Mohammadpur Zone of the DMP's Tejgaon Division confirmed the matter.
Sujan is accused in a case filed at the Jatrabari Police Station, he added.

Nurul Islam Sujan is an Awami League politician and member of parliament representing the Panchagarh-2 constituency since 2009.
He served as the railway minister during 2019-2023.
