Save the Children International in Bangladesh and the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on improvement and upgradation of e-Primary and e-Monitoring School System.
Md Fashiullah, director general of DPE, and Mark Pierce, country director at Save the Children International Bangladesh, signed the MoU during an event at Hotel Platinum Grand in the capital on March 9.
Under this MoU, they will jointly work on software improvement and upgradation for creating a data driven decision making mechanism. The mechanism will work to improve the efficiency of the government primary school system and Students' Performance Management (SPM) system for supporting the Civil Registration Vital Statistics (CRVS) project.
Another major focus of the agreement is for assessing the needs of children with disabilities in the country.
This joint initiative ultimately contributes in achieving the key objectives of the Forth Primary Education Development Program (PEDP4) which aims to provide quality of primary education for all children of the country from pre-primary up to grade 5 through an efficient, inclusive and equitable education system.
