Govt to reduce fuel oil prices, BPC's profits to control high inflation from Sep
The interim government has decided to reduce fuel oil prices from September, the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation's (BPC) has said.
Besides, in a move to control high inflation, the government has also decided to curb the BPC's profits, due to which fuel oil prices are expected to decline further in the coming months.
According to the Energy Division and the BPC, octane and petrol prices will be reduced by Tk8 to Tk12 per litre.
Diesel and kerosene prices will be reduced from Tk1.5 to Tk1.75 per litre.
