Former state minister Zahid Faruk arrested from Baridhara
He was wanted in several murder cases with different police stations relating to the violence during the anti-discrimination student movement
Former state minister for Water Resources Ministry Zahid Faruk was arrested from the capital's Baridhara area this (22 September) evening.
ANM Emran Khan, assistant director of RAB Legal and Media wing, confirmed The Business Standard about the arrest.
Faruk was wanted in several murder cases with different police stations relating to the violence during the anti-discrimination student movement, BSS reports.
The arrestee has already been handed over to the Detective Branch (DB) of police, said a RAB official

Since the fall of Awami League government, former ministers, state ministers, members of parliament, and leaders from the Awami League and its alliance partners have been arrested.
