Govt has arranged certificate for overseas returnees : Expat Minister
Foreign workers interested in getting the government certificate have been advised to contact the technical training center concerned and the district manpower employment office
Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed has said the government has arranged skills certificates for workers returning from abroad.
"If workers get recognition for their previously-acquired skills, quality labour migration will be ensured and the amount of remittances will also increase," the minister said.
He announced this as the chief guest of the inaugural function held to award pre-acquired skills certificates to repatriated workers at six technical training centers across the country, at noon, on Wednesday.
He added that in addition to recognition of prior learning (RPL), many more training programs have been undertaken to increase the overseas employment of skilled workers.
Director General of Manpower Employment and Training Bureau Shamsul Alam presided over the function. Dr. Ahmed Munirush Salehin, secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment spoke at the event as a special guest.
