Government doctors barred from working at private hospitals during office hours
The health authorities have decided that doctors employed in government hospitals will not be allowed to work in private health institutes during office hours. They must inform the relevant authorities ahead of time if they want to do so in extenuating circumstances.
The decision was made following a meeting of the Task Force Committee of the Health Ministry at the secretariat on Tuesday noon.
The meeting also decided that the task force would inspect private hospitals and clinics, in addition to the state-run institutes, and conduct drives against illegal practices at the hospitals.
In addition, each hospital, diagnostic centre, laboratory, and clinic across the country must have their registration numbers clearly visible.
Additional Secretary to Public Health-1, and also Convener of the Task Force Committee of the Health Services Division, Mostafa Kamal, presided over the meeting, attended by Member Secretary of the Task Force, Shibbir Osman and other senior officials.
