HSC examinees demonstrate at Secretariat demanding exam cancellation
They have announced that they will hold a sit-in programme inside the Secretariat as long as their demands are not met.
A group of HSC examinees marched and entered the Secretariat while chanting slogans demanding the cancellation of exams.
Around 2pm they announced that they will hold a sit-in programme inside the Secretariat as long as their demands are not met.
The students brought out a procession from Paltan and headed toward Gulistan. Since a gate of the Secretariat was open, hundreds of people entered through that gate and created an unrest.
Employees at the Secretariat got out from their offices to observe the situation and police have taken a silent position.
Fahad, a student of Universe College of Mirpur-10, told TBS, "We don't want to sit for the HSC exam anymore. The results for the seven exams that took place earlier should be pubished. As for the exams that have been suspended the results of those should be calculated according to the SSC exam results. We don't want any kind of auto pass.
"We will prove our merit in the university entrance exams," he added.
