Journalist hacked to death in Manikganj
Julhas Hossen was working for Bijoy Television as its Dhamrai upazila representative.
A journalist named Julhas Hossen was hacked to death on Thursday.
He was working for Bijoy Television as its Dhamrai Upazila representative. He was the vice-president of Dhamrai Upazila Press Club.
Muhammad Arifur Rahman, duty doctor of Manikganj District Hospital confirmed this matter and said, "Some people brought Julhas to the hospital. He was covered in blood, and was dead on arrival at the hospital."
Julhas had bruise marks on various parts of his body, Dr Arifur said.
General Secretary of Dhamrai press club Babul Hossen said, he was informed of this matter by phone, and left for Manikganj District Hospital. But he could not say anything clear about the Julhas killing.
Bhaskar Saha, additional superintendent of police of Manikganj Sadar Circle said that he found out about the matter over phone call.
"A detailed investigation is being done," Bhaskar Saha said.
