Journalist Ruhul Amin Gazi arrested
Police have arrested Daily Sangram Chief Reporter Ruhul Amin Gazi from his office on Wednesday evening, in a case filed under the Digital Security Act, reports Prothom Alo.
He is the president of a faction of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ).
Md Harun-ur Rashid, deputy commissioner of Tejgaon Division Police, said, "Gazi is accused in cases under the Digital Security Act on treason charges."
"He has been nabbed following an arrest warrant in the case," he said.
However, a court had earlier sent Daily Sangram Editor Abul Asad to jail in the same case.
