Lt Gen Abdul Hafiz appointed as special assistant to Chief Adviser Yunus

Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz has been appointed as special assistant to the chief adviser of the interim government.
He will provide necessary assistance to the chief adviser in discharging his duties on matters of defence and the development of national harmony, reads a gazette issued by the Cabinet yesterday (22 August).
While holding the post of special assistant, he will be entitled to the rank, pay and allowances of an adviser, reads the gazette.
