BNP returns Tk10 lakh donated by expelled leader for flood victims
BNP has returned Tk10 lakh to its expelled leader Fakhruddin Ahmed Bacchu, who had donated the money for the flood affected people.
Bacchu, previously the joint convener of BNP's Mymensingh South District unit and convener of Bhaluka Upazila unit, had donated the money to the party's relief fund.
Abdus Salam Azad, the party's member secretary of the relief collection committee, said the committee was unaware of Bacchu's expulsion at the time of receiving the donation. Upon discovering his expulsion, the committee promptly returned the Tk10 lakh donation to Bacchu.
Earlier on Sunday, Fakhruddin Ahmed Bacchu was expelled from the BNP and stripped of all party positions, including his primary membership, due to allegations of involvement in activities against the party.
