Govt appears indifferent to people's hardships amid soaring commodity prices: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP leaders and activists are chanting slogans along both sides of the road, spanning from Nightingale Junction to Paltan Model Police Station, resulting in a complete halt of traffic on this route.
The government appears indifferent to the hardships faced by the people due to the soaring prices of essential commodities, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told a rally on Friday.
"Today, many households find themselves without rice, lentils, or oil because of the exorbitant prices. Unfortunately, the government seems unconcerned. Their focus is solely on regaining power and exploiting the country," said Mirza Fakhrul while addressing a rally held to commemorate the International Day of Democracy today.
"This fascist government has destroyed everything including the health and education sectors. It is obvious that they have utterly failed in governing the state," the BNP secretary general added.
"Everyone should take to the street with all their strength to get rid of this monstrous government," Mirza Fakhrul told the gathering.
