TBS journo Nayem Ali, TDS journo Shuchismita Tithi become CA's assistant press secretaries
Nayem Ali and Shuchismita Tithi have been appointed Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus' assistant press secretaries on a contractual basis.
Their appointments will come into effect from the day of their joining, a gazette notification issued by the public administration ministry reads.
They will, however, have to sever all ties with any organisations they are currently working at.
Both the assistant press secretaries will be entitled to a monthly salary of Tk53,060 under the 9th grade pay national scale of 2015.
Shuchismita Tithi has been a journalist at The Daily Star since 2020. She graduated from Dhaka University's Department of Sociology.
Nayem Ali, on the other hand was the former in-charge of TBS Bites and served a versatile role as a photographer and reporter at The Business Standard. He graduated from East West University's BBA Department.
During the recent student-led July revolution, Nayem Ali's stint reporting included taking photographs of the events across the city. He also reported on the victims admitted at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Prior to that, his notable reporting include "The Lucky files: From college teacher to 'overnight' millionaire", "The fire traps of Dhanmondi Sat Masjid Road?".
Recently, he won the Honourable Mention Award in the politics category at the Bangladesh Press Photo Contest 2024, organised by Drik.
