The fire service authorities have also placed another 41 members, who may have come into contact with them, under quarantine. They all have been tested negative.
"Deputy Assistant of Postogola Fire Station was tested positive with the virus a few days ago. Now seven from Sadarghat Fire Station and one from Purbachal has also been tested positive," Director General of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Brig Gen Sazzad Hossain told The Business Standard on Sunday night.
"We have kept each of them under isolation separately. We have appointed a doctor with our own fund who is treating them. All of them are in good health currently," he added.
The fire service authorities are getting their updates once every six hours and providing them with everything they need to recover, Sazzad Hossain further said.
