Anesthesiologist and senior member of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Bogura Dr Md Abdur Rashid has died of coronavirus.
He breathed his last at Labaid Hospital in the capital on Thursday due to coronavirus infection, says a BMA press release.
He was 67 years old at the time of his death and left behind his two sons, family members, friends and a host of admirers.
BMA prayed for the forgiveness of his departed soul and extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the press release added.
Dr Md Abdur Rashid retired in 2011 after serving at Kahaloo Upazila Health Complex as the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer (UHFPO).
With this, 125 doctors and two dental surgeons have died so far from Covid-19 in the country, according to the BMA press release.
