Dr Zafrullah writes to PM for Gonoshasthaya mobile Covid team initiation

Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, founder and trustee of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, has written an open letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressing the initiation of Gonoshasthaya mobile Covid medical team in Dhaka which will give affordable treatment to 1000 Covid-19 patient every two weeks.
The organisation's Press Adviser Jahangir Alam Mintu submitted the open letter to the Prime Minister's Office.
In the letter, Dr Zafrullah mentioned eleven urgent duties that the government should undertake amid the Covid-19 pandemic, reads a press release.
Dr Zafrullah urged for the withdrawal of all types of duties, advance income tax, VAT etc from oxygen, medicines, medical equipment and materials through Special SRO (Statutory Regulatory Order).
He also urged for arranging training of physicians, nurses and paramedics on an emergency basis to manage the ICU.
Dr Zafrullah urged the PM to send Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus as a special envoy to Europe for establishing vaccine production facilities through the compulsory license of TRIPS.
