Kurigram put under lockdown
No one will be able to enter into or exit from Kurigram, in any way, until further notice
The Kurigram district administration on Thursday announced to lock the district down from 5pm.
Deputy Commissioner of Kurigram Md Rejaul Karim said the decision was taken at the, April 23, meeting of the "District Committee on Coronavirus Control and Prevention."
Rejaul Karim said, "No one will be able to enter into or exit from Kurigram, in any way, until further notice."
"Four Coronavirus patients were detected in Kurigram since April 13. All of them returned from Narayanganj and Gazipur. We have decided to lock the district down to prevent new infections. The decision will remain in effect until further notice.
"All kind of transport and communication routes including the inter-district ones will remain closed. Only the emergency services will be allowed."
