Two more doctors die from Covid-19
Bangladesh today registered the death of two more doctors from Covid-19, raising the death toll among doctors to 44.
Dr Md Shafique Ahmed, a former student of Sir Salimullah Medical College, died from the virus around 5:30am on Saturday.
He was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in the capital, a press release of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) says.
Another doctor- Dr Mujibur Rahman Ripon, associate professor of pediatric department of Central Medical College, died today from Covid-19 in the capital's United Hospital.
So far 39 doctors have died of Covid-19 in Bangladesh and five more died with Covid-19 symptoms.
