Two Narayanganj markets shut as they failed to follow health rules
Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Jasim Uddin said only those markets that will follow the government instructions will be allowed to reopen business
The Narayanganj district administration has shut down two markets for they failed to follow health guidelines and instructions while selling products to customers.
Hasan Ali, an executive magistrate of the local administration, ceased the trade in the markets on Wednesday with the help of police.
He said those two markets did not keep volunteers to ensure social distancing among buyers although they were supposed to do that.
Besides, no shop had facilities for santising customers' hands, he also said.
The government issued a few health guidelines and social distancing rules for markets to maintain compulsorily, he added.
Jasim Uddin, Narayanganj deputy commissioner, said only those markets that will follow the government instructions will be allowed to reopen business.
