Banks will remain open from 10am to 12:30pm from Sunday and bank employees' office hour will be till 2pm during the nationwide shutdown enforced to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The Bangladesh Bank today issued a circular regarding this new opening hours for banks. The new timing will be effective from Sunday, April 12, until further notice.
To maintain social distancing at the branches, the Bangladesh Bank suggested that banks follow the guideline of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The circular also states that banks can take help of the local administration if necessary.
Banks were open from 10am to 1pm on Thursday for cash transactions only. Those dealing with foreign exchanges were open from 10am to 2pm.
To stem the coronavirus pandemic, the government has declared general holidays, shutting all businesses except for some emergency services – including banks – till April 14.
From March 29, banks went on limited-scale operations.
