The government has proposed to exempt the value added tax (VAT) on the import, manufacture and different trading stages of Covid-19 test kits and personal protective equipment (PPE), such as- face masks etc.

"All these moves are aimed at supporting activities related to the detection and prevention of coronavirus infection in the country," said the Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.
