Bangladesh consul Amir Humayun honoured with Thailand's highest royal decoration
Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury, the honorary consul of Thailand in Bangladesh, has been awarded Thailand's highest royal honour for his outstanding service in strengthening the relationship between the two nations.
For the past 18 years, Chowdhury has supported the Royal Thai Government and Thai nationals residing in Bangladesh. In recognition of his contributions, he was honoured with The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand during a ceremony at the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka.
The event, held at the Thai Ambassador's residence, was attended by distinguished guests, including Chowdhury's family and embassy officials. The decoration was awarded in appreciation of his efforts to promote bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Thailand, as stated in a press release from the embassy.
Established in 1869 by King Chulalongkorn, The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand is usually awarded to Thai civil servants and foreign nationals who have made significant contributions to Thailand. This prestigious award recognises Chowdhury's vital role in enhancing the bond between the two countries.
