BB promotes Jaker Hossain to executive director
Md Jaker Hossain, director of SME and Special Programmes Department of the Bangladesh Bank, has been promoted as executive director.
He worked as a faculty member of Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) from 1990-1993 and joined Bangladesh Bank in 1993 as assistant director, reads a press release.
Previously, he worked in Bangladesh Bank, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat, HRD of head office, DOS, Accounts and Budgeting Department, Forex Reserve and Treasury Management Department, FEID, Chittagong Office, MRA, Housing Fund and Fund Management Unit and SME & Special Programmes Department.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Training Academy's Additional Director Mohammad Ashikur Rahman has been promoted as director of the central bank.
He joined Bangladesh Bank in 1999 as assistant director. Previously, he worked in the Bank Inspection Department, Foreign Exchange Policy Department, World Bank funded project-Central Bank Strengthening Project and Forex Reserve and Treasury Management Department.
