BKMEA donates Tk50 lakh for treatment of those wounded in student movement

The Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) has donated Tk50 lakh in medical aid for treatment of the students and general people who were injured during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
Mohammed Hatem, president of the association, handed over the cheque to the leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on 19 September at BKMEA's Dhaka office, says a press release.
Paying homage to the martyrs of the movement, the president stated that alongside the government, other stakeholders must come forward to ensure better medical care for those injured during the student movement.
Three key coordinators of the student movement platform – Sarjis Alam, AKH Akhter Hossain and Ariful Islam Adib were present.
From BKMEA's side, its Executive President Fazle Shamim Ehsan, Senior Vice President Monsur Ahmed, Vice President (Finance) Morshed Sarwar Sohel and former vice president Masuduzzaman and other senior officials were present, reads the media release.
