OBOR delegation to boost Bangladesh’s infrastructure and sustainability
A high-profile Global Confederation of Belt and Road Economic Cooperation (OBOR) delegation has arrived in Bangladesh to contribute to infrastructure development and encourage foreign direct investment (FDI).
The nine-member delegation is led by Dr Sharifah Sabrina, Chairperson of OBOR Economic Cooperation for Bangladesh, along with Mr Chris Chan from Singapore and Mr Xu Feng, Secretary General of the Confederation, from China.
The OBOR delegation has expressed keen interest in participating in Bangladesh's energy sector and smart development projects that emphasise sustainability. Their vision aligns with creating a cleaner and more environmentally friendly future for Bangladesh.
This visit coincides with global discussions on sustainability at the ongoing UN General Assembly in New York. OBOR's delegation is endorsing the assembly's calls for creative and sustainable solutions to tackle environmental challenges. By fostering energy and sustainable development partnerships, OBOR hopes to support Bangladesh in advancing its long-term goals for a prosperous and green future.
As Bangladesh steps forward on this journey, the OBOR Economic Cooperation expresses its commitment to collaborating with the government to ensure a cleaner, more sustainable future for all citizens.
