Professor Mohammad Helal Uddin joins as Executive Vice Chairman of Microcredit Regulatory Authority
Professor Mohammad Helal Uddin, an esteemed academic and researcher from the Department of Economics at the University of Dhaka, assumed the position of Executive Vice Chairman of the Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA) on October 9, 2024.
Earlier that day, the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a notice appointing him to this role for a three-year term starting from the date of joining. Following his appointment, Professor Helal Uddin officially joined the Financial Institutions Division in the afternoon, before the start of the Durga Puja holiday.
Today, on Monday, October 14, 2024, he attended his office for the first time after the holidays. On this occasion, the officers and staff of the authority warmly welcomed him with flowers and briefed him on the progress of the MRA's activities.
