Abony set for Mrs World 2020 finale in Vegas
Abony thanked everyone in the country who had supported and given her guidance.
Munzarin Aboni has won the Mrs Bangladesh title this year. She will participate in the final round of the Mrs World Competition to be held on December in Las Vegas. She is in Las Vegas now where she will compete with contestants from 80 countries in the world. She has shared her Mrs World Competition experience.
Last night she talked to The Business Standard. At first, she talked about the weather of Las Vegas, which is between 0 to -1 degree celsius. It took some time for her to be used to with the weather.
We rehearse for seven hours daily and no excuse is entertained during this time. There is only one break during mealtime.
Eighty contestants have been divided into five groups. Each group is supervised by two choreographers. All the contestants are being prepared for the main competition.
Choreographers are helping us for dance, catwalk, and question-answer session. The final round will take place at Westgate Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, she said.
While talking about the different rounds of the competition, she said, I came here on November 30. Since I reached here, I have been rehearsing with other contestants. The question-answer round will be held on December 3 where the judges will ask questions to the contestants. The preliminary round will take place the next day. Again, there will be rehearsal the next day (December 5). The final round will be held on December 6.
Abony said, we have been taken to different attractive places during the rehearsal. We have also been taken to dinner. We have met various persons too.
I am the youngest among the 80 contestants. And, the most interesting thing is I am the only Asian contestant. Though there are contestants from India and Philippines they have been brought up in the USA. As I was born and brought up in Bangladesh, I have been praised by all. Everyone is curious too. I am enjoying it, she added.
The experience of the first day was the 22-hour air journey. Perhaps, I am the only contestant who has come after such a long journey. Everyone became excited to know this. How dedicated I am!
She thanked everyone in the country who had supported us and given guidance. Many people were beside me during the long journey. Especially, I would like to thank journalists, my sponsor company and the organisers of the Mrs Bangladesh competition. I will try my best to sustain the reputation of my country and to take Bangladesh to the next step.
In the evening on September 21, the final round of the Mrs Bangladesh competition was organised at Gulshan Club for the first time in Bangladesh. Munzarin Abony became the winner. Rabeya Sultana became the first runner up and Maati Shiddiqui became the second runner up. Among more than 2,000 contestants from all around the country took part in the competition. The final 10 contestants were selected through initial selection, audition in several rounds, grooming and motivational sessions.
