On Sunday, Russia had presented before the UN Security Council a draft resolution seeking “immediate” cease-fire and the secure release of all hostages, while stating that it also “strongly condemns all violence and hostilities directed against civilians and all acts of terrorism”

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi yesterday termed the cause of the Israel-Hamas conflict a "historical injustice" against Palestinians.
During a meeting with EU's foreign policy chief Josep Borrel, Wang said, "The root of this problem lies in the long delay in the realisation of Palestine's aspiration to establish an independent state, and in the fact that the historical injustice suffered by the Palestinian people has not been corrected."
On Sunday, Russia had presented before the UN Security Council a draft resolution seeking "immediate" cease-fire and the secure release of all hostages, while stating that it also "strongly condemns all violence and hostilities directed against civilians and all acts of terrorism." Hamas was not mentioned in the document, Arab News reports.
