Job Responsibilities
Project Management
- The Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the project at the Project Implementation, Leading the MEAL system set up, leading the financial budget management, staff supervision, ensuring the program quality for tree plantation, solar light establishment, and shelter support to the host and Rohingya response.
- Directly supervise a team of ECC project Field officers, MEAL officer, MEAL data collector, Site Engineer who led teams of project activities in the field.
- Supervise to Improvement of environmental compliance through tree plantation, installation of solar panel (streetlight) (Aligned with SMSD Prioritized Sector Objective.
- Prepare training plan, assess training effectiveness, and take feedback from program participants & stakeholders regarding specific program.
- Organize dialogue, meeting, workshop, and other field visit programs with key stakeholders and community people to achieve the goal of the project in time
- Ensure smooth and effective implementation of ECC Project within the set objectives and given framework in the Project working areas.
- Ensure achievement of the project's outputs as measured by the log frame indicators.
- Regularly visit project activists (Rohingya response and host) and monitor the operations of the project team and provide the necessary support to the field team.
- Ensure that the project participants have received the quality services and required shelter support as planned in the project.
- Ensure that the projects are carried out according to standard operating procedures, technical manuals, and policies.
Coordination
- Ensure good coordination between barefoot counsellors and other Caritas teams as well as other stakeholders in the camp (CiC, protection services, information points, etc.)
- Ensure / promote women, girls, boys, men, people with disabilities, and transgender participation in the meetings/workshops whenever possible.
- Ensure government participation in key social events such as training, exposure visits, workshops etc, as appropriate.
- Liaise with relevant government departments and keep updating them on the project progress and achievements on regular basis.
Reporting and monitoring
- Develop high-quality donor reports for project-related activities that is contributing to the project donor reports as required.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly progress reports and submit them to the supervisor in a timely.
- Ensure the MEAL system is in place and reporting is effective and on time, along with MEAL Officer.
- Administrative (HR) and financial responsibilities of the project team.
- Support the team in, and advocate for self-care strategies.
- General protection responsibilities
- Know the referral pathways and the reporting system and train staff as needed.
- Know Protection agencies in the field and remain updated on services available, resources to be shared, and protection issues that arise.
- Be aware of protection issues and trends in areas of operation, and report any new protection trend
- Coordinate with protection focal point and other community outreach members programs as needed.
Employment Status: Contractual
Educational Requirements: The qualified candidate will have a Master's degree in Development Studies / Disaster Management or relevant professional study from a recognized university with a good academic track record (Flexible for the experienced). Education qualifications may be relaxed for highly qualified candidates.
Experience Requirements: At least 5 year(s)
Additional Requirements
- Age : Min 30 to Maximum 50 years (as on 31.5.2022) – Flexible for the experienced.
- At least 05 (Five) years of experience in a managerial position with relevant experience. Having working experience in camps and host communities at Cox's Bazar is expected. (Women will be given special priority)
- Working in DRR for at least 3 years in camp/host community area experience is preferable.
- Should have experience in project cycle management.
- General knowledge of protection, community resilience or social accountability models of governance, refugee issues and, human rights –technical knowledge in any or all these sectors is an advantage.
- Experience in budget monitoring, logistics, procurement, planning and management of field operations.
- Ability to work under high-pressure and high-security risk situations and be able to adapt to rapidly changing contexts.
- Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments, and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
- Have proficiency in computer skills of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good knowledge of DRR, Shelter construction and community resilience.
- Good knowledge of Community mobilization and sensitizations and skills transfer.
- Fluency in the English language is expected to prepare a variety of written communications (correspondence, reports, working papers, etc.) to participate actively in meetings and in work-related discussions.
- Team spirit, community mobilization and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination skills and able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
- Ability to engage with local and international agencies.
- Able to problem-solving and identify resources in the environment and shows persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges.
- Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team.
- Should have "can do' attitude and able to handle multiple tasks managing priorities
- Committed to work following organizational aims, values, principal, and policies.
Job Location: Cox's Bazar (Ukhia)
Salary: Tk. 80000 (Monthly)
