Dhaka Int'l Jewellery Machinery Expo begins on 4 July
It will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the city
A three-day international exhibition of jewellery machinery will begin in Dhaka in the first week of July with the theme of technological touch in jewellery.
"This will be the first event of its kind in the country to enrich the domestic industry and tap the export potential of Bangladeshi ornaments in the global market," leaders of the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) stated today at a press conference at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex.
Scheduled for July 4-6, the International Jewellery Machinery Exhibition-2024 will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital.
At the briefing, organisers said more than 30 companies from 10 countries, including India, Italy, Turkey, the UAE, Germany, China, and Thailand, will showcase jewellery machinery.
Six companies from India — Tisha CNC Engineering Works, Neo Instruments, Solanki Machinery Works, Era Corporation, Quantum Equipment, and Accjet Solutions — will participate in the exhibition. Additionally, three companies from Italy — JTE, Fasti & Omper, and three companies from Turkey — Otek, Ortek, and Guvenis Jewellery Mold & Machine will exhibit. Other participants include Fischer of Germany and Do IT Industries of China.
Five organisations from Bangladesh — Dreams Instrument Technology, Bangladesh Scientific Instrument Company, Expert Instruments, Trust, and Rarts BD — will also participate.
The expo will be open to all from 11 am to 7 pm each day.
Bajus General Secretary Badal Chandra Roy, former president Dilip Kumar Roy, Vice-President Samit Ghosh Apu, Adviser Ruhul Amin Rasel, and KNC Services founder CEO Kranti Nagvekar were also present.
