Trade through Hili land port suspended for Janmashtami
Import-export activities are suspended but passenger transit through the immigration checkpoint is continuing as usual.
Trade between Bangladesh and India through the Hili land port in Dinajpur district remained suspended since Monday morning due to the holiday for Janmashtami, a major religious festival of the Hindu community.
Sheikh Ashraful, officer-in-charge of the Hili Immigration Checkpoint, said the import-export activities are suspended but passenger transit through the immigration checkpoint is continuing as usual.
