7 divisions get new DIGs, metropolitans get commissioners
These orders were issued in public interest and will come into effect immediately
The government has posted new deputy inspector generals of police (DIGs) in seven divisions and police commissioners in seven metropolitan areas.
In this regard, the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued separate notifications today (3 September), signed by Deputy Secretary Sheikh Mahabubur Rahman.
In another notification, the government posted new superintendents of police in 26 districts.
Of the new DIGs, Ahsan Habib Polash has been posted to Chattogram Range, Alamgir Rahman to Rajshahi Range, Md Ashrafur Rahman to Mymensingh, Md Mushfekur Rahman to Sylhet, Manzur Morshed Alam to Barisal Range and Rezaul Haque to Khulna range.
Of the new police commissioners, Hasib Aziz has been posted to Chattogram metropolitan, Md Rejaul Karim to Sylhet metropolitan, Khondokar Rafikul Islam to Gazipur metropolitan, Mohammad Abu Sufian to Rajshahi metropolitan, Md Zulfikar Ali Haider to Khulna metropolitan, Md Majid Ali to Rangpur metropolitan and Aminul Islam to Barishal metropolitan.
These orders were issued in public interest and will come into effect immediately, as per the notifications.
