Al-Arafah Islami Bank Opens 224th Branch at Chandpur

Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) PLC has opened its 224th branch in Chandpur on Thursday, 5 September 2024. Managing Director and CEO of the bank, Farman R Chowdhury, inaugurated the new branch as the Chief Guest. The bank's Additional Managing Director, Shabbir Ahmed, and Deputy Managing Director, Md Aminul Islam Bhuiyan, also addressed the ceremony.

Deputy Managing Directors Syed Masudul Bari, Muhammed Nadim, Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Md Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Md Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, and other senior officials were present at the event. 

Senior Vice President of Chandpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Subhash Chandra Roy, Manager of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, Chandpur Branch, Md Nuruzzaman, Lecturer of Hajiganj Aliya Madrasa, A N M Nurur Rahman, Prominent Businessman Shah Md Jahangir, and Manager of the Hajiganj Branch of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Kazi Md Elias, also spoke at the branch opening ceremony.

The bank's Sylhet Zonal Head and Senior Executive Vice President, Abdur Rahim Duary, presided over the ceremony. Senior Executive Vice President Engr. Md Habib Ullah conducted the event. A large number of local residents and well-wishers attended the inauguration. Chandpur Branch Manager, Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan, expressed his gratitude to the audience.

Managing Director and CEO, Farman R Chowdhury, emphasised that socio-economic development of the country is achievable through halal business management under the Islamic banking system. He noted that the country's Islamic banking system has already demonstrated its effectiveness. He then shared various statistics about the bank and assured clients of the highest quality service.
